Welcome to Braithwaite CofE Primary School & Nursery
Our Vision - As we travel on our learning journey, with caring hearts and thoughtful minds, we will strive to be the best that we can be, respecting ourselves, each other and the environment and community in which we live, reflecting Jesus’ example.
We love 'Learning Together, Growing Together'
We are a small friendly school in the village of Braithwaite, near Keswick, in the beautiful Lake District National Park. We are judged 'good' by Ofsted who noticed that "teaching is good and pupils make good progress". The report also noted that "pupils are caring towards others and have respectful attitudes", "staff know individual pupils' skills and capabilities well" and "pupils' good behaviour and attitudes to learning make a positive contribution to their good progress", as well as that "pupils in all year groups enjoy reading".
Nursery places available for 3 and 4 year olds
We currently have spaces available in our nursery on the following days: all day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as well as Wednesday mornings. The Thursday afternoon session includes a fortnightly forest school session at no extra cost. Why not come along and see what we have to offer at one of our Stay & Play nursery sessions that we will be holding this term (see leaflet below) or go to the Nursery section of our website to find out how to apply for a place for your child.
Car Parking
Our school site is open on weekends and in school holidays for car parking and the use of the part of the grounds. We ask for a donation of £5 to park all day and this can be paid in cash (via the letter box found on the left of the front door) or using the 'Just Giving' link that follows. Please note that camping or overnight stays are not allowed.
